The show

Bellator MMA returns to the Accor Arena! French MMA pioneer Cheick Kongo will challenge American Ryan Bader, reigning world heavyweight champion, for an exceptional fight in France.

In addition to this face-off, the Accor Arena will host more than ten high-level fights during a great show on May 6. French MMA will be honoured by the presence of some of the best French competitors.

With more than 10,000 spectators expected and a worldwide broadcast, this event marks the great return of MMA. With more than 50,000 practitioners and 700 certified instructors, MMA is a mixed sport that is accessible to all, supervised and legalized, and is now under the aegis of the French Boxing Federation through the FMMAF.
Based on values of respect, humility, courage and perseverance, MMA is far from the image of street fighting that it is too often associated with.

About the show

Mixed Martial Arts, known as free-fighting in the past, is a combat sport that uses the techniques of judo, karate, ju-jitsu, English boxing, muay-thai, wrestling, etc. Supervised by a referee, duels last 3 or 5 rounds of 5 minutes in an octagon. They can end in a KO, a decision by the referee who judges that one of the fighters is no longer able to fight, withdrawal or disqualification. If the fight goes to the end, the winner is decided on points by three appointed judges.
